It brings them in direct contact with a large set of professionals from various fields who will answer their queries, just the way a mentor would. It is almost like a knowledge feedback loop. Here’s how it works- Resolve Query has enlisted a panel of professionals who are willing to help out students by giving them advise, almost like their role model. I think that this is a very simple but powerful way of using the internet to get advice/feedback. The ability for users to choose the experts based on their academic or professional backgrounds, means that you are getting advice from a person who is best positioned to answer your question. However the website seems to have been more active earlier than what it currently is.
There seem to exist multiple ways of getting advice/ feedback on the internet. You have different options like Google/Yahoo answers, discussion forums, quick polls etc. However there is little control as to who answers your questions.
