You are absolutely right that we have targetted to many categories. But, our core idea is to enable a user, a company, or a community to build and distribute content easily. Content, as you are well aware, are in its basic form txt, image, audio and video. In addition to this we wanted to anchor each type with content created by us. Its tough but very needed to prove our orchestration model. Check out my blog on Social Media as I see it, which I recently started @ http://indiainteracts.blogspot.com

In my opinion they have targeted lot more categories than they should have. A big chunk of users would be looking for more depth than breath..Some people might have different viewpoint, but I think they should have first concentrated only on one or two categories and then introduce more like what Digg has done.

I really do like the way the content is laid out. I think its also a creative way to compare what the masses think vs editorial content. I do agree that the nav bar needs to be changed. It gives the impression that the designer took the easy way out. Even a simple change of colors can do wonders.
