Its simple, the reward a referrer gets is 20% of the amount these social career networking charge. rest goes into their pocket.

Amit, I think the quality dimension could get helped by a tool like FrontFoot. However, it remains to be seen what adoption (or perhaps I should say referral) rates) will come up. Personally, (1) I feel I will only refer someone if I know that person well enough and (2) I will do that directly, not through a network/Internet service.

But yes, something like this is needed by the newer companies. Either you have to be a specialized/niche player or you need a differentiation on some valued attribute (like in this case) or else the network effect of Naukri and the giants are too powerful (irrelevant jobs or not)

I just checked out Zubka. At a high level, it's similar. The devil is in the details. Major differences in basis for referral, offline model replicated, quality of referrals, tools for hiring managers, etc.

I agree with Syon, I feel the same. Zubka model has been there for long time now. Similar concepts had come up in 200-2001 with sites like www.refer.com, but they failed.

It is very unfortunate to see only copy innovations happening in India.

Rohit,
I think it is very similar to ecademy and Zubka partnership announced late last year.

Is wwww.zubka.com different?
