http://mermaid.metaaso.com Now that you are talking about indian social websites. How about products? Indian product industry is plagued with no userbase. One cannot simply launch a product from india and hope for it to get anywhere. The above url is of MetaASO Solutions.

MetaASO Solutions has launched a P2P v2.0 productline that allows users to use their free products to broadcast live multimedia to the whole world, without using any servers. Any audio/video source connected to the computer e.g. Desktop/Program Screens, Webcam, Mic, Radio card, TV Tuner Card (i.e TV Channels) can be broadcast to billions of users.

But being based out of india, the userbase is about 1 million users. US users are not very excited about it because it is not american and Indian users are not excited about it AGAIN BECAUSE IT IS NOT AMERICAN. It doesn't take much to open up a one room office in the silicon valley and tell the whole world one is an american company ;-)

Indian companies are copying any website business model they can come across without understanding that the indian userbase is too low to propel their business anywhere.

Sadly product userbase in india is far lesser. Which is a reflection of the state of indian web business and product companies.

Hi Amit, thanks for posting your presentation here! We are great fans of Slideshare and it is also really interesting to learn about the status of the Indian SNS market. I'd be happy to exchange further about both.
