Come on India… Help Firefox set a Guinness World Record
This is a call to all Indian Firefox & open source enthusiasts. You can help your favorite browser set a Guinness World Record. All you have to do is to sign a pledge on the SpreadFirefox website to download Firefox 3 on a particular date. You have to enter your email ID and Firefox will email you the download link for downloading Firefox 3 within the stipulated 24 hours window. As easy as that!
Go sign up for the pledge here. And don’t forget to do the needful on that fateful day. The record is for downloading the software, not just signing the pledge!
Incidentally Firefox has released a pledge map that shows a live update of the number of people who have signed up for the pledge from across the world. And INDIA IS LANGUISHING FAR BEHIND.. Check out the map below… as you can see the regions leading the charge are USA, Russia, Brazil, Western Europe, China, Australia…. but not India.
