Top 25 Hottest Indian Web Companies video…
Check out this video about the Top 25 Hottest Indian web companies. This has been put together by AppAppeal, a website that aggregates reviews about web applications worldwide. They have similar videos for hottest startups in other countries as well- UK, Holland etc.
Amongst the startups in the video: you are likely to recognize most names. Though, I am certainly surprised by some inclusions and also by some startups that fail to find mention. It does not look a greatly researched effort on the whole, though as a concept, its not bad.

Talking about such ranking lists - “The Best….”, “The Hottest…”; this obviously involves a great deal of subjectivity. What factors are taken into account while compiling the list… think of the Best B-School rankings that are splashed across Indian business magazines every now and then. They always throw up surprises, leading to a cacophony about lack of fairplay & equity. Finally, it all boils down to the credibility of the organiser. If that is under a cloud, then the exercise may be superfluous. (If I remember correctly, the IIMs have now stopped participating in MBA institutes ranking surveys largely on account of this issue.)

Jesus! What’s with the trippy 80’s bollywood remix music? And how how are these Startup Companies? Most are products, some are really old products. Rediff and Naukri - Startups???
Smells like linkbait….

saad,
guess that my fault with semantics… they are calling it the web companies and not startups..
all the same, as I mentioned in the post… looks inadequately researched and lacking perspective of the indian market

Hi
Well thanks for putting hellointern.com in the list. We are definitely not in the league of rediff and naukri at the moment, but look forward to justify it in the coming years.
Thanks
