I would have appreciated had L.K.Advani simply blogged about things he liked and them indirectly passed on the message of support.

alternatively, it would have been a BJP mouthpiece that would hail the man as a prime ministerial candidate.

But what these mailers and google ads are doing is posing him as a prime ministerial candidate, which in essence is incorrect. There still is doubt about him becoming the prime minister if and when BJP gets a majority. he has a tough fight from Narendra Modi of Gujarat.

Also it is so un-humble (don’t know if there’s a word as that).

You missed Google ads, they’re spamming every second website with google ads on it has L K Advani’s ad.
nothing to do with politics but its annoying at times to see them.
Guess what I’ve added filter in my website which blocks LKAdvani’s ads.

Part of the reason Obama’s internet campaign succeeded is because of the HUGE internet audience in US. I doubt replicating that here in India would have the same effect.

@indiainfo: Yes of course it’s wrongly sent. These things happen. Like only yesterday someone wrongly sent me a few emails about some non-genuine Rolex watches. By mistake, since I obviously did not know that person.

Similarly, another email I got mentioned some herbal medicine which will increase the impressiveness of my manhood and totally wow my girlfreind/wife/friends/parents. That too was accidental, because obviously:
1. I don’t know that guy
2. Everyone is already WOWed.

So let’s call a spade a spade and file it under SPAM.

Of course, it was only a matter of time before the moral police also started advertising on Google.
