Webyantra Previously
Webyantra is the blog of Amit Ranjan (CoFounder of SlideShare) where he chronicles his experiences on the startup journey.
The name Webyantra is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘yantra’ , which means a ‘device, or a product ’. So Webyantra refers to products (or services), that use the web to deliver solution to users’ problems.

Webyantra’s History:

Webyantra was started by Amit in 2006 for showcasing Indian internet & Web 2.0. Regarded as the “Ground Zero for Web2.0 in India“, it was a trendsetting blog that profiled Indian web companies and highlighted the ones that were making a difference. It was one of the most widely read Indian tech/internet blogs and sparked a race for similar Indian blogs:). Unfortunately the demands of his day job compelled Amit to discontinue Webyantra (in its original avatar) in 2008. Webyantra has now metamorphosed into Amit’s personal blog where he writes an occasional post about his startup experiences.
